71040 The Disney Castle is back in stock at LEGO.com

71040 The Disney Castle is finally back in stock at LEGO.com after a prolonged absence, so you can now once again build your own slice of Magic Kingdom.

The 4,080-piece model has proved tricky to get hold of in recent weeks. It’s been labelled ‘temporarily out of stock’ at the official online store – much like 71043 Hogwarts Castle, 21318 Tree House and 75292 The Mandalorian Bounty Hunter Transport, all of which remain elusive – while LEGO Stores in the UK are also closed under current lockdown rules.

That’s effectively made it impossible to cure the January blues with Mickey, Minnie, Tinkerbell and co., but given 2021 seems to be much the same as 2020 so far, we’re sure you’ll be just as happy to while away the February blues with it too.

You’ll likely have to act quickly to grab 71040 The Disney Castle based on its track record, and particularly with a view to the fact that it’s been around since 2016. Not many sets enjoy that kind of lifespan at LEGO.com, so its retirement may not be far away – and you can bet that the aftermarket price will soar as soon as that happens.

71040 The Disney Castle now re-enters the Brick Fanatics Top 20 LEGO Sets List, but no doubt it will be all too briefly. If it has vanished by the time you read this, sign up for our stock alerts and we’ll let you know when it’s back.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
