Five LEGO Disney 100th anniversary celebration minifigures we want to see

Following the LEGO Group’s recent Disney 100th anniversary celebration tease, here are five minifigures we want to see released.

The LEGO Group recently hinted that new Disney minifigures would be on their way later this year to celebrate the House of Mouse’s 100th anniversary. A teaser poster has been released that appears to show Tinker Bell holding a magic wand, suggesting that the classic animated character may be returning in LEGO form in 2023, potentially alongside other fan favourite faces.

The poster followed the confirmation of 40622 Disney 100th Celebration, a four-pack of BrickHeadz characters, as well as recent rumours hinting that 43225 Castle may also be on the way this year, although there’s been no confirmation from the LEGO Group regarding such a set.

With so many classic characters to choose from and plenty having already appeared in two LEGO CMF series to date, here are five LEGO Disney minifigures we want to see released this year:

5 – Baloo

Appearing in The Jungle Book in 1967, Baloo leads a carefree existence and believes in letting the good things in life come by themselves. He even attempts to teach the ‘bare necessities’ to man cub Mowgli, another LEGO minifigure we’d like to see at some point.

4 – The Rocketeer

Set in Los Angeles in the 1930s, The Rocketeer was a live-action movie directed by Joe Johnson. Although pitched as an aerial Indiana Jones-style adventure, the film failed to perform at the box office, but has built up a dedicated fan following in the years since its release.

3 – Pinocchio

Appearing in the film of the same name in 1940, Pinocchio is the story of a wooden boy who’s brought to life and was only the second animated Disney movie. This classic character definitely deserves to magically appear as a LEGO minifigure in 2023.

2 – The Mad Hatter

As featured in the 1951 animated feature film, Alice in Wonderland, The Mad Hatter would compliment Alice and the Cheshire Cat, both of whom appeared in LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71012 Disney Series 2, released in 2019.

1 – Walt Disney

What better way to celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary than with a minifigure of the man who started it all? A LEGO Walt Disney minifigure would be the ideal addition to any such celebratory releases planned for 2023 and offer a unique version of the creative genius himself.
