LEGO Ideas 21338 A-Frame Cabin contest winners revealed

The LEGO Ideas team has unveiled the winners of its woodland-themed contest, inspired by the recent release of 21338 A-Frame Cabin.

Prizes up for grabs in the new challenge included copies of 21338 A-Frame Cabin signed by its designers, along with LEGO Ideas sets 21337 Table Football, 21335 Motorised Lighthouse and 21318 Tree House. A total of 494 entries were submitted before the deadline, leaving the judges with the unenviable task of whittling them down to just three winners.

They’ve now tackled that tough feat to reveal the grand prize winner and two runners-up. Taking home the crown is Carter, known on LEGO Ideas as EnthusiasticWrayth093 (though they say they’re still trying to change their nickname, having only just joined the platform), with their Sunset at Topaz Falls build.

Described by Carter as ‘the perfect way to relax in nature’, the detailed build imagines 21338 A-Frame Cabin’s family following a nearby trail to a beautiful waterfall. The stunning model makes clever use of forced perspective with a tiny representation of the cabin, along with an awe-inspiring mountain backdrop.

Carter will now receive the grand prize of a signed copy of 21338 A-Frame Cabin, in addition to 21337 Table Football, 21335 Motorised Lighthouse and 21318 Tree House. The two runners-up are IsleofHeather’s Windy Beach Kiting and Roldan A.G.’s Campfire Songs, both of which move beyond minifigure scale to create beautiful nature-inspired builds.
