LEGO Ideas We Love Sports contest winner and future set revealed

The winner of the LEGO Ideas We Love Sports contest has been revealed, unveiling a future official set, with a miniature match ready for you to build and display.

As part of the ongoing news and reveals at LEGO CON, the winner of the We Love Sports contest has been announced with Donat Fehervari’s Foosball Table chosen to be a future set.

The 16-year-old will be the latest fan designer to contribute to LEGO Ideas, joining the likes of Steve Guinness and 21327 Typewriter. The table makes use of minifigures as the players for the initial design but there’s no telling how the LEGO Group will rework the model into an upcoming official set.

The table, which is just as functional as it is looks, is 55cm long and 30cm wide and features 11 players on each team. We can imagine that some builders will want to integrate their own characters and minifigures into the build. Why not imagine a match between NINJAGO and Minecraft?

We’ll keep you updated when we know more about this upcoming LEGO Ideas set and we imagine that the young fan designer is pleased with this result, not to mention the huge prize package that he will be receiving.
