More LEGO Marvel mechs and Spidey and His Amazing Friends sets are coming in 2023

The LEGO instructions site has given us a taste of what else is coming in the LEGO Marvel theme next year.

LEGO Marvel has long been one of the LEGO Group’s most reliable themes, with plenty of new sets releasing each year. The broad variety of Marvel media means there’s plenty of subject matter to draw from, with 2023’s LEGO sets taking cues from the movies, TV shows and comic books.

While a few LEGO Marvel sets have recently been announced, several more have materialised on the LEGO instructions website. We don’t have any pictures or prices for them yet, although the product names suggest some familiar subject matter is coming.

First up is a new trio of Marvel mechs, which have proven a staple of the theme for a few years now. 76242 Thanos Mech Armour may not prove too interesting, considering we got a similar product – 76141 Thanos Mech, pictured above – a few years ago. However, 76241 Hulk Mech Armour and 76243 Rocket Mech Armour offer new takes on the concept – and should be a cost-effective way to get these characters in LEGO form.

Elsewhere, three new Spider-Man sets are on the horizon – which, according to previous rumours, are inspired by animated show Spidey and His Amazing Friends. 10789 Spider-Man’s Car and Doc Ock suggests another showdown between Spider-Man and the show’s Doctor Octopus, while 10790 Team Spidey at Green Goblin’s Lighthouse also does what it says on the tin. 10791 Team Spidey’s Mobile Headquarters may be the largest set of the bunch, and seems likely to include several key characters in LEGO form. 

In short, whatever your flavour of Marvel fandom, it seems like you’ve got plenty to look forward to in the months ahead. It’s not yet known when these sets will be released, although their presence on the instructions site suggests an official reveal isn’t too far away.
