LEGO Speed Champions 007 set includes multiple licence plates

The recently-revealed LEGO Speed Champions 76911 007 Aston Martin DB5 set includes swappable alternate licence plates.

Following a reveal by online retailer Jouéclub, we now know that 76911 007 Aston Martin DB5 will be joining the LEGO Speed Champions range at some point, alongside 76912 Fast & Furious 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. Both vehicle sets are scaled down versions of their movie counterpart cars, with relevant character minifigures included.

76911 007 Aston Martin DB5 is a 298-piece recreation of the iconic spy vehicle, complete with a minifigure of what appears to be Daniel Craig’s portrayal of James Bond in No Time To Die. A previous listing for the rumoured set stated that it may retail for €19.99, although that price has yet to be confirmed.

One of the details revealed in the first images of 76911 007 Aston Martin DB5 is that the vehicle also includes at least five alternate licence plates. The LEGO pieces appear to have stickers on them, allowing builders to swap out the plates if they so choose.

This mirrors the ability of the Aston Martin DB5 to change its licence plates in a number of James Bond films. In Thunderball the car’s registration was ‘BMT 216A’ and the same plate returned in Skyfall. For driving in France, the plate was able to be flipped to read ‘4711-EA-62’ and ‘LU 6789’ in Switzerland. The DB5’s licence plate in Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies read ‘BMT 214A’ and ‘A 4269 00’ was seen in No Time To Die.

There’s currently no confirmed release date for 76911 007 Aston Martin DB5 and 76912 Fast & Furious 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, but both have previously been rumoured to arrive on August 1, 2022. The LEGO Group has yet to confirm the sets, so do treat all of the information above with caution for now.

WOW! Too bad it does not include an Aston martin DB5, what in god name is that? Its worse than the Creator/Expert set. LEGO is not respecting the the James Bond brand at all.
