Upcoming LEGO Star Wars magazine to include free X-wing Fighter model

Following two highly-desirable minifigures, an upcoming issue of LEGO Star Wars magazine will include a free X-wing Fighter model.

Immediate Media’s official LEGO Star Wars magazine has been on something of a winning streak lately, offering fans and collectors of a certain age free (and rare) minifigures that can usually only be found in much more expensive sets.

For instance, Issue 92 is currently on sale in the UK and comes with Bo-Katan Kryze minifigure that is exclusive to 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter. This will then be followed in March with Issue 93, which will feature a free 212th Clone Trooper, the same minifigure that appears in the mighty 75337 AT-TE Walker.

However, it looks like things will settle down a bit after that, with Instagram-user lifebricks revealing a future issue of LEGO Star Wars magazine will be going back to at least one mini vehicle-based build. On sale in Europe on March 25, the publication will include a 57-piece brick-built Luke Skywalker’s X-wing Fighter as a free gift, potentially hitting the UK with the April issue. Whilst nowhere near as impressive a model as the larger 75301 Luke Skywalker’s X-wing Fighter, the micro set is certainly more affordable and should keep younger readers happy for at least five minutes.

Small versions of the iconic ship have been included with the magazine before, appeared as make and take builds at various retailers, and in a number of LEGO Advent Calendars. After the two-hit run of fan favourite minifigure freebies, it’s slightly disappointing to see the publication revert to these sort of gifts, but we’re definitely interested to see what other must-have minifigures may be making an appearance (for free) with future issues of LEGO Star Wars magazine.
