Canada gets a new LEGO Store

A new LEGO Store is coming to West Edmonton in Canada next week.

Fans of the LEGO brick in West Edmonton, Canada, will be able to head to a new LEGO Store when it opens on November 13. While restrictions will be in place to help reduce the spread of coronavirus – including wearing masks and physical distancing – the store will offer most of what fans expect from an official LEGO Store.

The new outlet will be located in the West Edmonton Mall. “I have to work with the mall to see what we will do with the lineup but I want to make sure we’re controlling it because I don’t want people to congregate in front of the store,” Store Manager Miranda Maclean told Edmonton Journal. “We will use a wait-list app so it avoids having people lining up. We can actually send (people) away, they can go continue their shopping and then we can message them to bring them back when it’s their time to come into the store.”

Measures in place include regular sanitation during the day, employees handling Pick-and-Build cups as well as staff also wearing masks.
