LEGO Overwatch 2 set appears in catalogue with February release date

An officially released LEGO 2022 catalogue has revealed that the Overwatch 2 76980 Titan set is planned for release in February this year.

Following its appearance on a French online retailer – despite the ongoing lawsuit against Activison Blizzard – the previously unveiled 76980 Titan has now been included in the official LEGO 2022 Italian catalogue that was uploaded at the start of the new year.

Listed on page 70 of the online file, 76980 Titan is mentioned as planned for release in February, suggesting that this set is going to launch even with the lawsuit involving the parent company behind the game, Activision Blizzard.

No new details for the set are included beyond what we saw on the listing, with two minifigures of Mei and Tracer included alongside the main mech model.

For the unfamiliar, the lawsuit was filed by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing on July 20, 2021, which alleges that the company’s management engaged in discriminatory hiring and employment practices, allowed and encouraged sexual misconduct towards female employees, and maintained a ‘frat boy’ culture.

The LEGO Group launched a theme of sets based on the first Overwatch game back in 2019 before the lawsuit was filed. We are still awaiting a response from the LEGO Group regarding the release of 76980 Titan.
