Rancho Obi-Wan to hold virtual gala

Rancho Obi-Wan, the world’s largest Star Wars collection, is holding a virtual gala to raise money for the organisation’s work.

The world’s largest Star Wars collection – that includes plenty of LEGO items – is housed at Rancho Obi-Wan. Each year the California based museum hosts a fundraising gala, which is going virtual in 2020 due to the global pandemic.

The event will take place on November 21, with tickets priced at $30.00. Ticket holders will be able to view the stream on one device.

It’s an opportunity for fans who might not otherwise be able to attend the gala to view livestreams that will include talks about the collection including a virtual tour of the poster collection, special guests dropping in for interviews and a trivia after-party.

Rancho Obi-Wan is a not-for-profit charity, with all proceeds from events like this one going towards the cost of maintaining the collection and inspiring people of all ages – fundraising money is not used to buy items for the collection.

LEGO Star Wars 77904 Nebulon-B Frigate, the event exclusive intended for San Diego Comic Con 2020, has been announced for release on November 14.
