LEGO Harry Potter has just one more Horcrux left to create

The LEGO Group has almost completed its own version of Harry’s epic task to find and destroy build all seven of Voldemort’s Horcruxes.

With the first sighting of LEGO Harry Potter 76421 Dobby the House-Elf comes another brick-built Horcrux. While Riddle’s Diary played a pivotal role in freeing Dobby from the control of the Malfoy family, it was revealed later that its destruction played an even bigger role in defeating Lord Voldemort a few books later.

The inclusion of the diary got us wondering about whether it’s possible to collect all of the Horcruxes in LEGO form – and you almost can. Here’s a rundown of every brick-built Horcrux out there, as well as which one is missing.

1 – Tom Riddle’s Diary in 76421 Dobby the House-Elf

Riddle’s Diary comes complete with the sock that freed Dobby in 76421 Dobby the House-Elf. While it’s the most recent Horcrux to receive the LEGO treatment, it was the first Horcrux to be destroyed, with its death coming about as early as Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets at the hands of Harry himself and a conveniently-placed Basilisk fang.

2 – Salazar Slytherin’s Locket in 76403 The Ministry of Magic

This isn’t quite as intricate a build for Slytherin’s locket, but we say it still counts. The action of 76403 The Ministry of Magic centres around stealing the locket from Umbridge. Represented by a tiny tile, you can hide it in her pink-walled office or keep it in her hand for Harry, Ron, and Hermione to steal from under her very nose.

3 – Helga Hufflepuff’s Cup in 76412 Hufflepuff House Banner

Most of the accessories in 76412 Hufflepuff House Banner are to do with gardening, reflecting the interests of the Head of House, Professor Sprout. However, one small golden cup is infinitely more valuable, not just as an heirloom of the House, but also as a container for part of Voldemort’s soul.

4 – Rowena Ravenclaw’s Diadem in 76411 Ravenclaw House Banner

Similarly, 76411 Ravenclaw House Banner also contains its House’s heirloom that was twisted into a Horcrux by Voldemort. Ravenclaw student Michael Corner appears to be thrilled to have found the long-lost treasure – although we imagine he’ll be less happy when he realises it needs to be destroyed.

5 – Harry Potter in 40495 Harry, Hermione, Ron & Hagrid

Of course, there are dozens of ways to get your hands on Harry Potter, the Horcrux that Voldemort never meant to make, from minifigures in plenty of LEGO Harry Potter sets to a huge scale version in (now-retired) 76393 Harry Potter & Hermione Granger. However, for a version that’s in keeping with the scale of most of the other Horxcruxes, we’d recommend 40495 Harry, Hermione, Ron & Hagrid.

6 – Nagini in 40496 Voldemort, Nagini & Bellatrix

Although this set is retired, it’s certainly the best version of Nagini, recreating the terrifying snake in a much more adorable way in this LEGO BrickHeadz trio. Plus, you’d get the added benefit of Voldemort himself to round out your collection of his shattered soul.

7 – Marvolo Gaunt’s Ring

Voldemort’s family ring, first seen in the hands of his grandfather Marvolo Gaunt, is the only Horxcrux that’s not been recreated by the LEGO Group. We’re not quite sure what the best way to find the ring would be. Perhaps a brick-built version of the Gaunt’s shack, or a Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince-era version of Dumbledore’s Office. Seeing as we got Gryffindor’s sword in 76402 Hogwarts: Dumbledore’s Office, that could have been an easy way to include the Ring. Indeed, you could even customise it with the ring from 10316 The Lord of the Rings – Rivendell if you want to complete the set.
